Dems Pose as Anti-Bush
opinion by John Jonik
Even the Fox network was covering how Democract candidates were using the tactic of associating their Republican opponents with Bush in order to get votes.
What the heck is going on? Outside of Cynthia McKinney and scarce few others, every damn one of those Dems was also on the Bush side all along, and still is.
They preposterously acknowledge his legitimacy as president (as does NPR radio, et ilk), they fail to express outrage at his belief in being "commander-in-chief" of everyone (not just the military), they have uniformly failed to file papers of impeachment (Henry Gonzalez rolls in his grave), they have failed to condemn Bush for violations of Oath of Office and the international laws that are part of that oath, they have failed to call for his and his staff's and appointees' removal from office, they have approved his so-called "wars", they accept that US illegal invasions are "wars", they have left his "no child left behind" crap intact, they tolerate the violation of Habeas Corpus, and they weasel on torture.
Some of the Left's heroes (Rangel and Pelosi, for example) even slander Hugo Chavez as a "thug," disrespectful of "our President" for daring to humorously (and to much UN applause) call Bush "The Devil."
If such Dems are Anti Bush, yo mamma is the Dalai Lama.
The more-or-less on-target anti-Bush Leaguers, the Green candidates and others, aren't permitted to debate in public, thanks to efforts by both Republicans and Democrats. How brave is that in the Home of The Brave?
The weasel (not that there's anything wrong with any critter in nature) ought to replace the eagle as our national symbol, though the guinea pig is a close contender.*
